Bio
Priti Patel is principal designer and owner of Priti Design Co. Architectural form, natural landscapes and everyday man-made objects are a few of the many sources of inspiration for Priti’s elegant and sophisticated modern designs. Priti travels around the world to diligently hand-select stones to fulfill the needs of her clients including other high-end jewelers. Her travels take her from Surat, India and Belgium to Israel—hubs of the international diamond trade. Priti’s attention to every detail enables her to capture timeless natural elements—like mum owers—and infuse bold color into her diamond-intensive creations. Since diamonds have been used for centuries to celebrate and treasure life’s most memorable moments, Priti’s roster includes her passion for custom jewelry redesign. Priti extracts her creativity and design concepts from the stories behind the stones clients entrust to her. In her private Manhattan studio, where every piece is sketched, designed and meticulously hand-crafted, Priti breathes new life into old treasures by reworking them into unique modern-styled pieces. Because each precious jewel is a woman intricately weaving her story into Priti’s creations, Priti forges a connection with every piece of jewelry she develops. From conceptualization to the delivery of the nished form, Priti ensures the jewelry she creates is complimentary to her private clients and the diverse cadre of men and women, who wear her designs. Currently, PRITI DESIGN CO. is available at select Bloomingdale locations. She is also in negotiations with other luxury retailers in the U.S. and abroad to carry her creations. Strong in her commitment to social justice, Priti continues to champion charitable and humanitarian causes around the world. Her recent residencies with the Samburu and Maasai tribes of Kenya inspire her latest collection of delicately layered necklaces.
